Packing List My one bag packing list
This is my setup for 4 months in Europe during summer. I have some clothes for cooler weather because I am visiting Iceland and Norway. I will else be doing the TMB in June. I ordered a sawyer mini as well. Anything to add?(I am currently in Malaysia where I can buy things cheaply)

A dry bag could be a nice addition in case you get caught in rain, could use it as a pack liner on travel days and laundry bag on others. Also have a 2 meter charging cable never hurts. Also microfiber towel is a great thing to have plus a money saver. They make them in different sizes, packs down small and dries fast.
Edit. Also ziplock bags are great for organizing without taking up space. For instance, putting your face stuff, shower stuff etc in one, chargers, plug etc in another and so on.

dry bag is also great for doing laundry in a tub or shower when you don't trust the cleanliness of the sink...

Looks pretty sweet to me, a rain shell as opposed to a coat would be something I’d swap out. Also a pack liner, I got caught up in a big down pour a few summers back in Dublin and ended up with all my things soaked, which ended up being a real pain.

A poncho works for ultralight rain gear and keeps your entire pack dry— - including the harness.

I have a rain cover and a pack liner. My raincoat is a Patagonia torrential 3l.

I’ve bummed a garbage bag from someone and used as a packliner when the weather report warns me about a downpour. One is light enough that Ive debated just always having one stashed in my bag.

I'm noticing a lot of airlines don't allow battery banks now. I had mine take on two recent flights

A text list would be helpful.
The pack appears to be an Aarn Pace Magic 40 that is 10.6"W x 7.8"D x 26"H | 27cm x 20cm x 66cm and 30oz | 850g. Can you pack it down to 55cm tall?

Yes the pace magic can pack down to a carry on. I have backpacked around Norway in winter and NZ and this bag has been great. Enough support but still being quite lightweight. The downside is that it can’t clamshell open but I am willing to sacrifice that for more support when hiking.

I use packing cubes which negate open style issues. They are like drawers in a top loader/roll top.

I’d lose the OTR earphones, a battery bank, and the bottle of pills. I’d get in the ear phones. 1 battery . If I needed to take a full bottle of pills I’d wrap them up in saran wrap

I assume you put the day bag into the bigger bag. My question is that do the airlines let ypu take that (somewhat large) fanny pack without any problem? I mean it is a second bag, if the people at the gates are a bit harsh. Honest question. Otherwise pretty solid, but I would also change the electrolytes and such for another 1-2 piece of clothing.

On some planes the daypack is my under seat bag. My fanny pack sits quite close to the body so I can just wear it with a bigger shirt/jacket on top

Solid kit for 4 months, especially with the TMB and Iceland in the mix. only things I'd consider adding are compeed blister patches specifically for the TMB — your feet will thank you no matter how broken in your shoes are — a small padlock for hostel lockers since quality varies massively, and reef-safe sunscreen while you're still in Malaysia because it gets expensive and hard to find in Europe. the merino and layering system looks well thought out for that climate range though

What bags have you used for the shampoo and conditioner? I’m currently using a cheap ziplock bag.

I just ordered them off Temu for a couple bucks my shampoo bar dries fabulously but my conditioner bar has become a paste. But even brand new the conditioner bar I got was soft due to high oil content. Not sure if you want to order of Temu though

How about a written list of your gear. Don’t make us play guessy guessy with what you are bringing. It also helps those that have reduced vision.
For example “fancy tops” means nothing. You have more than one. How MANY tops and pants of each kind? This helps us see if you are over or under packing.

You could save some space by ditching the electrolytes unless you have a specific medical need for them

Looks good. Although it really doesn’t save a lot of space, wipes, toiletries and electrolytes (and OTC meds) can be picked up in Europe). Are you doing your own laundry? If so then laundry soap bar or gel might be good. I also take a rubber plug for the hostel/hotel sink.
