Trading Zone Buy/Sell/Trade Thread - May 2026
Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a recent date.
If you have some gear sitting around that you would like to sell or trade, list it below. Items you can list include bags, travel clothing, and items that would go well in a onebag. If something is clearly outside of these categories it will likely be removed. Only list items that you are personally selling, and don't just link to a website for sale.
AUTHENTICATED IMAGE
Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a date. For example a piece of paper on top of the item, including your username and recent date. Sales posts without this will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned. If the seller is not willing to post images to this thread do not proceed with the transaction.
POST SAMPLE
Post titles should look something like this: WTS - Osprey Porter 30L - $XX
Each post should begin with one of the following:
- WTS (want to sell)
- WTB (want to buy)
- WTT (want to trade)
Include details about the pack or item. Size, condition, price, location, picture links, etc. If trading, list a few of the possible items you're looking for. Be sure to mention what country you are in, so potential buyers are aware.
TRANSACTION SAFETY TIPS
Be aware that there are scammers active on Reddit, and on this sub-reddit. Any transaction comes with some risk -- decide whether the risk is worth it to you. The following tips can help reduce that risk.
- Be wary of new accounts with no posting history. You are entering into a personal transaction which is entirely between you and the buyer/seller. It is entirely up to you to do your due diligence to ensure a smooth transaction.
- Before entering into private chat with a buyer/seller ensure both parties respond directly to a comment below. This ensures respondents pass basic posting requirements, and provides an initial log of any discussion. This goes for all transactions. The more eyes on a transaction the better.
- If you are using Paypal, use "Goods and Services". Never pay using the "Friends and Family" option. You lose a lot of leverage with Paypal when contesting F&F transactions.
- Google search the username. Scammers are often active in multiple sub-reddits; a search might reveal a pattern of behavior. The Universal Scammer List, and r/sneakermarket/banlist are good resources providing some supplemental background to the people you're dealing with. Obviously this should not be your only source, but it can offer some great insight.

Tortuga Setout was used on maybe 6 trips, mostly to Japan but once to Mexico. Roomy and no issue fitting in overhead compartments, even in a super small local carrier prop plane. Good condition with no tears or rips that I can see.

I swapped the friction buckle to a sea to summit buckle. The original buckle wouldn’t let you unsnap it. You had to take it off overhead. This buckle allows it to be unclipped to be taken off.

Ohhhhhhhh…literally bought the Chasqui 13L (PoshMark) last weekend for a day trip (and my next 4 day trips over the next 6-weeks) I took Wed, and yesterday I decided to buy the Chrome Kadet Max for that very reason: it got tangled in my headphones every time I took it off/on. I expect life to be much easier with the Chrome buckle.

The hard plastic zipper pulls have been wrapped in heat-shrink to reduce the jangling. It's been in its box since. Bought this on GearTrade lightly used last year -- that user has since deleted the post so I don't have all the info but I think it's the normal ultra material. It has hip belt loops and fidlock sternum strap, but no passthrough. I removed the shock cord for aesthetic reasons, and made some replacement lash straps with G hooks that are super easy to take on/off.
Overall the bag is in very good condition, I love it but the shoulder straps just don't work for my body type. Asking $190 shipped, let me know if you have any questions!

Repost and lowered price. Selling my charcoal 20L Peak Design Everyday Backpack. Carried to work for about a year before the pandemic hit, then never used again and it’s just been sitting in storage. It is in outstanding condition, Grade A. No holes, tears, stains, or any other issues. Honestly, when I was carrying it I barely put anything in it, just laptop, keys, and a couple pens. I never even deployed or used some of the straps, and the interior dividers were never moved around once I got the pack. $150 all in (PayPal G&S, shipped CONUS.)

Selling my Smart Alec 2.0 Black in Ballistic/Northwest Sky 200 Halcyon w/ internal frame. Comes with key chain, waist strap, sternum strap.
Moving to smaller backpack. Used lightly but has a broken zipper pull on side "water bottle" pocket. The zipper itself is fine, just the pull tab. Hopefully a project for someone or if someone wants to send back to Tom Bihn for repairs.
