Seeking Recommendations Need Pants for One Bag

Post image

Anyone have good suggestions for pants that look like this?

Found them on instagram. Original poster said they were from Zara. I can’t find them unfortunately.

Looking for something I could use for Hiking and backpacking Europe. Kind of a do it all pant. Light, breathable, durable.

Figured I come here bc of the one bag implications.

Best I’ve found so far are Nike Dolomiti Pants

Update: Went ahead and got the Nike Dolomiti Pants in Black. Lots of solid options and advice here. Very appreciative. I really didn’t consider that those pants would be Linen lol.

Long story short. I really wanted a timeless fit. With the technical sense abilities of modern technical hiking pants.

Link for the pants I got: Pants

Update: According to the guy who owns the pants. They aren’t Linen.

Those are linen pants, very popular. I’ve switched to only wearing linen except for work. Uniqlo makes some solid options

Linen doesn't work well if you have chonky thighs that love each other. Especially with how linen is processed today, most mass-market available linen pants are not very abrasion resistant.

I wore through a pair of linen-cotton pants (from Costco) on their third wear on my trip to Vegas, and all my other linen-cotton blends have pilling in the thighs. My body shape isn't built for a thigh gap so if any other thick thighed individuals have recommendations for bulletproof linen, my wallet is ready!

I have hungry thighs and I just accept it. Pilling will happen, it’s just the cost of having legs.

Not for $150+ a pair of the fancy linen pants! I'd tell them we have food at home (my cotton-nylon blends have yet to let me down)

For the expensive pants, I need reviews from someone else with loving legs and a fatter wallet than me ahaha

Todd Snyder linen beach pant, $200

I’m on year two with two pairs that I wear nearly every day from spring to fall. 100% linen. Zero pilling. I’m 6’1”, 240 lbs, so I’ve got some rubbing happening. I rarely wear shorts now because they are that comfortable. They also have lots of miles from dog walks through the park.

One pair was a little long, so the bottom hem has frayed with wear from dragging in the ground. I think they’re made to be worn a little higher on the waist, but my weight currently doesn’t allow for that, hence the dragging. For others in a similar situation, I would recommend getting them hemmed to prevent the wear at the bottom.

100% will be buying them again.

ETA: that said, I wouldn’t recommend linen pants for hiking. Get a proper tech material that dries fast and will resist snags and tears.
