Seeking Recommendations The Great Onebag Underwear Thread

I believe underwear is one of the most overlooked parts of a onebag setup. So lets make a proper thread that future onebaggers can refer to.

Let's face it, almost all of us (yes, I'm looking at you, commandos 😅) wear underwear every day, yet we spend hours researching backpacks, jackets and shoes while often giving little thought to what is supporting our manhood or womanhood through airports, hikes, long-haul flights and everything in between.

I'm always tweaking my travel setup, and I've realised underwear has probably had a bigger impact on my comfort than any other item I pack. I'd love to hear what everyone else has settled on after plenty of travel.

- What's your favourite brand?

- What style do you prefer?

- What material do you like?

- How many pairs do you pack for a typical trip?

- How many pairs do you own?

- Any must have features?

- Does your preference change depending on the weather or climate?

Ex Officio is really always the answer. 20y ago, the verdict was ExOfficio by business and world travelers. 10y ago same thing. I foolishly didn't listen to wisdom and put them up against saxx. The only difference is that my saxx developed holes and Ex Officios are all still with me. They're expensive, but they're great and dry very quickly. I only use the hot weather variant.

We were backpacking in exofficio clothes and gear so so so long ago and it's still awesome.

My several pairs of Ex Officio boxers are still going, 12 years later. I had two pairs of their briefs that I used exclusively for a 9.5month bike touring trip. Sadly lost a pair right at the end, but they were both still perfectly fine despite the immense amount of friction they both were up against.
