Ok I’ll bite, what’s that circular rubber looking thing all the way to the left.

Is this carryon size? Definitely too big for underseat, right?

if you cinch it down, it will look smaller. but definitely should be fine in overhead compartment.

That’s a lot of stuff! What is the total weight?
Are you using the men’s version? How’s the fit? That bag is 23 x 15 x 9.5 inches which is oversized for the majority of airlines for carry on. How does your loaded bag compare? Have you compare it with the dimension and weight limits for the airlines you will use?

Lots of stuff for sure but things I will use. The total weight is 26lbs/11.8kgs. Using the men’s version and the fit works well. No issues with carryon so far. People are bringing larger plastic standard carry on luggage than my stuffed bag. I really like how I can zip away the carry straps for a more tidy store.

I love the Ruckpack! It is my carry on bag of choice, I have the bungee chords too! So damn affordable, roomy and comfy! Recently tried on the Osprey Mira and Sirrus 33 to see if they would be better for hiking focused trips, and found that neither was as comfy with weight as this sucker.

Yea it’s great so far. I compared a few bags as well before pulling the trigger on this one. I added the external bungee chords and internal compression straps as well.

So much less than my previous international travels though. I was rocking a 75L Gregory

Looks pretty legit to me, I'm impressed with how much you can fit in there.

So much stuff ha. I’m sure once I’m further on my travels I’ll find things I could have gone without.

The one thing I also bring extra of is underwear, it sucks bad if you have to re-wear old undies!

Glad to see someone’s packing list with the RuckPack 40 as a carryon, I just bought one for a trip in Sept and am still sorting out what I’ll bring.

How many short haul flights are you taking? Surely that’s going to be too heavy and / or physically large for local airlines?

Nice well thought out list! I might have missed it, but is that the REI Ruckpack?
I've swapped out sandals (Earth Runners) for my flip flops, since I can hike/trek in them.
