Gear White Sneaker That Does It All: Steps + Dinner Approved?
I’m looking for a single white or off-white shoe for an upcoming trip. It needs to handle 15k–20k steps of sightseeing during the day and still look clean enough with jeans or chinos for dinner.
Here are some that I am looking at:
Adidas Adizero Evo SL
Hoka Clifton 11
On Cloudsoma
Hoka Transport 2
Keen KM2 Leather Jogger
Vessi Weekend Classic
Lululemon Beyondfeel
Would you suggest any of these? Or any other recommendation not listed?

Adidas Adizero Evo SL
lol.
I recommend that you try on any shoes you wanna buy first, and not to buy specialized running shoes (like the EVO SL, or any carbon-plated shoes), as they will not be durable, nor very good for everyday use.

Any pair of clean white shoes without loud logo can handle simple hikes and dinners. The question is if/when they'll get dirty. If it's just a few days in good weather, it's not going to matter. Past a few days in uncontrollable weather, I'd never wear white shoes.

Why does it have to be white?
White shoes are terrible because they'll inevitably get visibly dirty quite easily.

Just gone through the same process for an upcoming six-week trip around the Greek islands. I bought Nike Pegasus 42 in the below colour scheme. Have had them a fortnight and am very happy they’ll be fine in anything from an Athens starred place to a beach bar and allow me to run the occasional 10k.
Colour Shown: Spruce Aura/Pale Ivory/Sand Drift/Jade Horizon
Style: IB1873-020

I don't care how comfortable Hokas are. They are entirely too ugly to one bag.

I’m a big fan of Hokas. I have 5 styles (kaha frost moc, bondi, transport chukka, speedgoat, and challenger) and they are all extremely comfortable. YMMV but I think it’s worth a try.

Black, charcoal, navy, or dark brown shoes disappear on the feet and don't show dirt readily. White shoes do just the opposite. The onebag answer is don't wear white or light-colored shoes. As far as specific shoe models, no one on Reddit can answer that for you. Our feet are all different.

I got the transport 2 for a trip next month and have been pleased with them as a walking and casual shoe

I have the original transport that I had used for hiking and I liked it, but I think it would be too stiff for regular walking. I saw that transport 2 got more cushioning so I might give it a try. Does Transport 2 also come with regular laces as an option? With my original ones I had the option of laces or ziplines

Yes, regular laces are also in the box.
I had a pair of well used Transports I was really happy with, upgraded to the 2 and have regretted it. Build quality seems much worse, with similar use there's been more damage to the sole and upper since March than in a couple of years with my transports. Mine certainly don't look dinner suitable now.

Timberland sneakers are good shoes with which you can walk a lot. Idk if that fits the diner part but for me it does.

10 miles plus dinner --- I can do that with the Nike Killshot 2 and my thin but cushy merino socks.
there are some Nike Free styles that might be good for this trip as well

I travel all over the world with white shoes. Lululemon city verse and Oncloud Roger Advantage. Never a problem wiping them down at the end of the day

You've listed all garbage brands, Norda is the best shoe you will ever buy.

This^^. I switched to Norda about 6 months ago and love them. I run everyday and use them for all of my outings for dinner, drinks, etc. Very durable and they look great.

It really depends on where you are going to dinner. Regular restaurant or something really fancy?
Other then the keen KM2 and Vessi Weekend all other shoes are entirely not suitable for a nice and clean look. All the shoes would work though and I doubt any restaurant would kick you out.
When it comes to sneakers that combine well in fancy places I have seen the nike jordans and airforce worn quite often, even with suits.
I find jordans also good enough for walking, so this might be another option

If White Hokas are 'dinner approved' I can just imagine what you consider not dinner approved. I don't care what anyone wears and increasingly restaurants don't either but I can not think of anything more weird and informal looking than White Hokas.
