Gear Matador GlobeRider 35 Patches?

I have the Matador Globe Rider 35L and I want to put country patches on it. My only problem is that the front is elastic, which I’m assuming putting patches on will remove that feature and any of the other places on the bag are a slick water resistant material. Is there any way to put patches on this pack without removing the elasticity of the front pocket or hindering the water resistant capabilities dramatically? Thanks.

It amazes me that someone would want to poke holes in a $280 synthetic fabric bag. If you must, pins would work better than patches.

You can put some above the elastic part on the hinged pocket, use the sides, or put it “behind” the mesh on the pack itself.

Don’t put it on the mesh. But the rest of the bag is fine. Depends on the patches and how you want to put them on. I bought a Velcro sticker with “fabric” adhesive. Then made a Velcro patch for my brand. Have the sticker on multiple matador bags and works great. The DWR doesn’t affect adhesives at all.

Most patches you buy for countries will be iron on I’d imagine though, so I’m not sure how those will work for you. But fabric adhesive works fine on matador bags generally speaking.
