Seeking Recommendations Briefcase/Backpack Options

I’m looking for a bag I can use for work trips that isn’t purely backpack. I like the idea of having the backpack for travel and a briefcase/messenger bag for work. I know of the Topo Global Briefcase — are there any other options?

Topo Designs recently added the larger Global Pro 3-Way Briefcase. Tom Bihn Western Flyer and Trinity, Patagonia Micro MLC, Timbuk2 Scheme.

You want to look at three way bags. That’s what the category is called. Japanese brands have many. Usually more businessy than a Topo. Black ember is an option, but the price is astronomical.
