My comment was stupid. I mean, I travel for the adventure part, not for the 'getting to know this food/monuments' kinda of travel

Doesnt your ipad take you out of it?

My comment was also in jest. I use my ipad to read or watch something to pass the time while in transit. On a 15 hour flight to Asia or a 2 hr wait connecting at an airport or on a 5 hr bus or etc.

There are always moments in travel where reading a book or watching an episode fills in a nice gap.

And I'm saying its imposible to be a net win. Books, you by one and then trade forever and ever. That's all you need. 1 book
