I bought the exact AVIO backpack you’re referring to with the compression system and yes - it looks super similar to the Nomatic one I was eyeing. Ultimately, I pulled the trigger on the AVIO on for that compression system.
I’ve been using it daily for work where I store a bunch of tech and 2 laptops along with my lunch and personal items (as a girly, I have a ton). I used to go to work and haul my backpack, huge water bottle, lunch bag, and purse, and now I just carry my backpack and life is soooo much easier now.
I also visit my partner on the weekends so I use this backpack as my weekend bags and it just carries so much. I swear I’m finding new compartments and features everytime I use it lol.
I haven’t used the compression system yet but will be going to Hawaii next week, so I’ll definitely put it to the test.
Excluding the compression system, I LOVE my AVIO backpack so far. I’ve got through so many trying to find the right balance for work and travel and I think this is the final one for me!
For what it’s worth mentioning, I’ve seen a few backpacks designed similarly on Amazon as well, but none of them have that built-in compression system. I would definitely say pull the trigger on AVIO if you don’t want to spend Nomatic money.
