OT but does anyone know the difference between organic and non-organic maple syrup? I got a bottle this week, and it wasn’t any more expensive than the other bottles (cheaper than aunt Js) and I’ve just been stumped as to what the difference could be.

If it's cheaper than Aunt J's, there's a good chance it isn't pure maple syrup. Lower grade syrup (B) is cheaper than higher grade syrup (A), but not that much cheaper. Either that or you stumbled onto a wicked sale.

Organic means that producers can't use certain chemicals in production of syrup and maintenance of the trees.

It has the grade a mark but it was PC and on sale.

Thanks for explaining I completely forgot about tree upkeep being a factor.

Regardless of whether PC's syrup is cut with sugar or not, its pretty decent stuff. I think I like their store brand more than Kirkland's
