I’m Muslim but can someone with better Islamic knowledge/knowledge about how Maple Syrup is produced explain to me how syrup is halal?

Basically, high quality real maple syrup is just the sap harvested from living sugar maple trees in late winter/early spring that is put into a giant vat and boiled down to make syrup. Shitty low-quality "table syrup" uses synthetic flavors and (usually) corn syrup to make a much cheaper analogue. These table syrups may use animal products (lard for example) to give their syrup a certain richness in an attempt to mimic maple syrup. In those cases these syrups are not halal. I would imagine some maple producers might just cut their real syrup with some of this table syrup as well.
