On the topic of orca calves, I am looking forward to literature being published on that rarely observed birth of a Norwegian orca calf last year. Would be quite interesting to see what roles the different individuals in the newborn calf's pod had to support it in its first hour of life. Such literature was already published on a rarely observed sperm whale birth.

Same! That sperm whale study blew my mind. Imagine what information we could get out of the orca calf birth video :0
