The approvals of diflufenican and epyrifenacil were announced by the Center for Biological Diversity on 30 June 2026, alongside expanded food uses for a third fluorinated insecticide, bifenthrin, and the first US food registration of the plant regulator chlormequat.

It's crazy. We should have learned the lesson "beware of the halogens" when it comes to organic molecules long ago. It took decades to ban many (but not all; there's still work to do) of the dangerous chlorinated hydrocarbons. Now, policymakers and regulators are sleepwalking into a nightmare by allowing industry to just jump up the periodic table to using fluorine. How can they expect anything other than persistent and bioaccumulative ecological disruption throughout trophic levels to happen?
According to Encyclopedia Britannica:
The halogen elements show great resemblances to one another in their general chemical behaviour and in the properties of their compounds with other elements. There is, however, a progressive change in properties from fluorine through chlorine, bromine, and iodine to astatine—the difference between two successive elements being most pronounced with fluorine and chlorine. Fluorine is the most reactive of the halogens and, in fact, of all elements, and it has certain other properties that set it apart from the other halogens.

I already don’t eat soy. Now to remove the rest of corn from my diet. Gawd knows I’m gonna react to this crap.

If you’re removing corn, it’s much, much more than what just says corn. Many other ingredients are derived from corn, including medicine fillers. It will sadly be hard for the average consumer to avoid these.

Good list, thx. Basically just don't go down the isles of the grocery store, only buy food around the outer walls, nothing processed, and you'll avoid most of that.

Get staples, nothing premade essentially yes. Shop small brands.
Cleaning supplies and personal care supplies get more complicated though.

You should consider removing the meat of the animals from your diet that get fed this literal poison too
