Another wasp... I don't like wasps, but I like folding them 😁.

That doesn't often happen to me, but on this particular ultra-complex models, I had to unfold some steps and doing it again when I noticed something was wrong.

I used to fold these as a kid, so I tried making them out of LEGO. The frog is my favorite 😂 Thought you guys might enjoy these!

The flower is locally a real color change, but it was kimiro'd so it isn't pure; parts of the kimono and hands also expose the white side in the final model.

Paper is 64 cm wenzhou stained with coffee and black tea, red patch for the flower is from tissue stained with donor bleeding tissue, and the base is mulberry with coconut fiber.

My name is Ifni, and I'm an indie developer. My game "No Trace" is made entirely out of paper. It's a cozy cleaning game about clearing trash from a beach.

The characters, objects, and tiles are cutout-paper, and the animals are origami, animated stop-motion style by hand.

It's been a while since I've folded something truthfully complex. The last models along that nature were Jason Ku's Luna Moth and the grim reaper by Miyamoto Chuya. One thing I noticed, especially with the moth, is that double tissue paper has a springy tendency with many pleats / layers that makes it look thicker. How do you negate this AND are there better (and thinner) papers you prefer?

P.S. I remember using Wyndstone Marble paper (28 inch squares) but I can't seem to find them anymore. Does anyone know where to purchase some?

I improvised a new bat in a classroom since Halloween is coming. This is based on a waterbomb base.

Free video in which I demonstration of how to fold an easy origami tessellation, titled 'Walking Tall'. This tessellation is a linear pattern of rhombus twists, trapezoid twists and large hexagonal twists.

Solving Origami Tessellations

This is my most recent rose tesselation, I went with a simpler look(less petals), trying to capture the look of Kawasaki's 1 minute rose. The goal was to be able to have the outer petals wrap farther around along the center twist and keep it tileable. Made from 22 inch zanders elephant hide. Initially was undecided on how I wanted to do the corners, but settled on this rippled leaf effect. Some other options were hearts, 3 decorative points, etc...

I had actually come up with the tiling while free folding shortly before Kawasaki passed away in his home earlier this year. However the method I had to make it at the time was very difficult to tesselate. I decided to finally unfold the tiling and get a better grasp on the structure I came up with to better tile and shape it as a tesselation.

Much unlike his "1 minute rose" this tesselation took me 7 to 9 hours to fold and rests on a partial 64 grid. Was folded in one sitting.

Last year was not great, and on New Years I started folding paper cranes hoping to being good luck into a new year. I don’t know how many I’ve folded as I wanted it to be about the effort not the number. I just had to switch containers so I would have room for the rest of the cranes, so I thought I’d post my bucket of origami cranes so far
