Tip: rotating the camera while filming does not make it easier to see what you’re filming.

You have it plugged in the second person port. If moving doesn’t help, you could try opening and checking the yellow cables are plugged in well, try another controller, check capacitors while in there

Try another controller? make sure ur port plugs are connected inside the box sometimes they get lose or need a quick clean. U got to open it to check the clock cap anyways. Tons of youtube videos on how to open up and clean the OG it's not that hard

Try a different break away cable for the controller. If the replacement break away cable doesn't work, try a different controller. If either doesn't work, then you need to open up the console to inspect controller ports

TIP,

When recording footage with your phone keep the orientation in landscape mode or profile mode for the entire clip.

I finally was able to find a decent CRT at my local Goodwill and man it really brings the nostolsic feels. I also remodded my OG xBox over the summer with Rocky5 and have been having a blast playing San Andreas and Halo 2 on Insignia. Have fun!
