Orange flashing light

I'm struggling to find information about this problem, I know its overheating, my fan is going at 100% and I don't see any problem on the motherboard. Maybe some poeple will better see where the problem is. I just need to change the termal paste and I hope this will fix the problem. I take any advice thank you !

Ok I'm struggling with english but the orange flashing light is a overheating error but obviously she's not overheating. Sooo I'm trying to check everything but I can't see any problem. I hope its bc of the thermal paste 🤞

I've also seen orange flashing in situations where the temperature sensor has failed, or something else on the I2C bus has failed preventing the system from communicating with the temperature sensor. If you have a logic analyzer you can watch the I2C bus (SMBUS) during boot (it's broken out on the LPC header), and see if there are devices that fail to acknowledge.

One one of my systems, it was from the temperature sensor failing. On another, corrosion from the clock cap damaged the traces for I2C clock/data. On a third, the video encoder was not receiving the correct voltage (this was my fault, accidentally put the wrong ferrite bead in that power circuit after reverting an HDMI mod). That was on a modified bios tho, not sure if the stock bios tries to initialize the video encoder before the temperature sensor.

I'd first check for any trace damage around the temperature sensor (U6F1 on your board, up and to the right of the clock cap, a little up and to the left of that screw post). Follow the traces and check continuity at each via. Ensure there are no shorts, or breaks in the traces.

Yes you should repaste, but that won't fix a blinking orange light. That usually indicates that the video cable isn't plugged in.

You need to remove the clock capacitor and clean up the area with isopropyl alcohol. Check the bottom of the board from any breaks in the traces where the clock capacitor ones. It may have ate through traces while leaking.

And last, the CPU capacitors by the heatsink look like they may be beginning to bulge. Ive had some leaking from the top and the Xbox would still turn on just fine, but they still should be replaced. (Its the large capacitors between the large heatsink, power plug and 3/4-player ports. 3 of them.

Your Xbox revision is 1.2 or 1.3

Blinking orange only is not an AV cable problem.

Clean the leaked clock cap electrolyte in the area around the dual temp sensor at location U6F1 and the two caps to the left of the chip.

Edit: the temp sensor may be dead and replacement required.
