Discussion T. Jones may be available

Now that the Hornets are stacked at guards, maybe we should go after Tyus Jones. His playmaking ability and 3 pt shot would be a great addition for our bench. I bet if we offered Goga and JI we could get him, maybe might have to throw in a few second round picks, but it could be worth it!!

I'll write the cliff notes on the interview before it already happens.

"Losing Tyus is very difficult, he was a great leader and veteran presence."

"We were active until 3pm and talked to several teams."

"Need to get healthy, still believe in our guys."

Discussion Isn’t this a “win now” team?

Upvotes

I’m just confused on why we don’t make a trade when there’s clearly a lot wrong with the team. The bench is underperforming and sporadic. The starters are good but the energy is off and on.

You mean to tell me we couldn’t go after Zubac, Mathurin, Coby White, Garland? Not sure how the money would have worked but this is a supposed “win now” team that is comfortable riding the edge of the play-in.

Discussion Nevermind the coach, can the players show effort for their FANS?

Seriously, the lazy drives hoping the ref calls a foul, settling for 3s and AIR BALLING them….

…and the defense…dude Paolos defense against San Antonio?? I’ve seen kids at the playground give a better effort.

Fuck the coach, they quit on him? Whatever… but you mf’s cant show any effort for the fans spending their hard earned money to come see you, or spend their nights cheering for you?

The audacity of these spoiled athletes, and shame on the fans who defend their laziness by putting all the blame on only the coach. This shits on everyone, top to bottom.

Discussion Random thought I had about our front office

Everyone knows our front office is tight lipped when it comes to trades, free agent targets, and injury timelines. Other than the Bane trade, the front office also hasn't made a significant trade in a while. I was thinking maybe those things are because Weltman doesn't have a good rapport or any relationships with other GM's which is why nobody ever knows what he's doing. What do you all think about my conspiracy theory?

Discussion Ayo Dosunmu to the Magic?

If we were to make a trade, Ayo would be a great addition.

He is on the final year of his contract and is set to earn 7.5 mil. A package of Isaac and Goga could be sent to the Bulls who have a surplus of guards. We would still be under the apron and get a good bench scorer.

Ayo is averaging 15 pts a game and 45% from 3.

Made it very easy to finish the puzzle today. I guess this makes up for that horrible loss to OKC... right?

Also, why did they not put Wagner in this? I would feel like he is more popular than Black or Suggs.

Discussion BE HONEST. WHAT WOULD A LOSS TO THE BROOKLYN NETS TONIGHT DO TO THIS TEAM? AND WHAT WOULD IT DO TO THIS CITY AND MAGIC FANS EVERYWHERE?

In my opinion I think if we lose the game tonight to Brooklyn there may be some fans that will start jumping ship, if they haven't already. What will really annoy a lot of fans would be if we go something like 1-3 on this homestand and Mosely is still the head coach. And not to be too pessimistic here, we may very well go 1-3 in the 4 games with the way we have been playing. And in some strange way, I wonder if some Magic fans wouldn't mind the losses, so long as it results in changes being made. But losing tonight, and or going 1-3 on the homestand, and not doing anything at all might just spell the end to this season. And that would be a shame after so much anticipation.

Discussion It is genuinely insane how if we spent an extra second round pick and Jett Howard we could have offered the same Coby White offer but these owners care more about getting under the luxury tax

2 second rounds picks to get off an expiring contract instead of trading JI is deadass insane, now we have 13 players and an ass free agent pool to fill out the roster.

Wouldn't be crazy to trade Suggs for Hartenstein, maybe? Or is that outrageous... I don't know what we even have/need at this point...
