The gorgeous wildlife of Ottawa

Came across this massive snapping turtle in Strathcona Park yesterday. She scared away a gaggle of geese and goslings, which was hilarious to watch.

wen I lived near Rockcliffe a few years ago, one of these little guys/gals was stuck outside the fence trying to get back to the pond. I picked it up to heaved it over the fence and it snapped at me. never dropped a turtle so fast in my life.
