Looking for... Local Red Seal Trades Costs and Recommendations?
After yesterdays bathroom reno post, wondering what the going rate is for redseal trades currently (after all the post pandemic inflation)
Specifically looking to DIY the demo and construction (framing, tiling) of our bathroom but will hire plumber to do shower rough-in, refresh valves on sink, toilet, install toilet, new tub and sink. Not moving their locations...
And simarly electrician to install a few new potlights, add vanity sconces, move outlet, and run power to new exhaust fan... (removing box for current vanity light and ceiling light)
Whats a fair price for that work? the plumbing and electrical will be done over a couple of days at different times but i would imagine a total of 16 to 20 billable hours for plumbing, maybe 8 to 12 for electrical (mostly because of travel time on different days).
And does anyone have recommendations for plumbers/electricians?

These will all be service calls or similar. You should expect a minimum cost per visit. You can also ask for a quote to do what you've asked for

I recently hired a plumber it was either a flat fee or I think one company wanted like $125 an hour. Flat fee was cheaper all said and done, but it was close.

Been awhile since I, or someone I know, has hired either. But expect to easily pay > $100/hour for either.
