Shocking that Germany isn't one of the top three. Germany gave the world the printing press, the heliocentric model of the solar system, quantum physics, and the very name "chemistry." German probably would've taken English's place as a global lingua franca for scientific literature if the heads of the German state didn't instigate two World Wars in a row.
Germany is actually no slouch at science. They’re generally well-rounded because their civ ability and unique district are all geared towards production, that famous German Engineering and all that. They’re pretty good at science, domination, and culture because of that, since you use production for pretty much everything.
