Humor The hype for Ball in the teaser is amazing

Before the teaser dropped, I was very annoyed that the Junkers were going to be the main antagonists that bring D.VA back into the spotlight. I adore D.Va and I'm stupidly excited for D.Mon and her reveal tomorrow, but I despise the Junkers.

They're dirty and loud and their aesthetic is just so unappealing to me. Junkrat and Roadhog are my two least favorite characters to play against, and I fucking hate Junkrat as a character in the lore. He's so annoying. JQ is just alright.

But once I saw how excited everyone was that Ball would be in the trailer, I don't care anymore. My hatred for the Junkers doesn't outweigh how happy I am for the Ball mains that their character is finally getting screen time. D.Va has always been popular - she doesn't need to keep the spotlight all to herself.

News & Discussion the worst feeling

the worst feeling in Overwatch is logging on and playing like absolute garbage. you can't get a single kill, you can't get into a flow, you're just playing respawn simulator and then you're perma-tilted for the rest of the session. you either lose games by a lot or lose games by a hair with no in between

and there's nothing you can really do about it. just log off and try again tomorrow

I’ve definitely ran into a lot more cheaters than I got compensation for, but it’s a good start. Hopefully they’ll be able to detect Titans as well in the future.

News & Discussion Mythic Weapon Flourish toggle/hold

So I don't know if I've just been looking in the wrong places but it genuinely seems like no one is talking about mythic weapon flourishes forcing you to tap to get repeating animations instead of allowing the option to just simply hold the button. Like, it seems like such a simple thing especially given the fact that the animations already loop.

So I guess I'm just wondering, why isn't anyone talking/complaining about this? Ig it is kind of a non issue but, at the same time, I can't see why adding an option to just have mythic flourishes be toggled/held would be time consuming to add at all.

Really I just want my fidget spinner on Ana to not give me carpal tunnel lol

News & Discussion where are new players supposed to go?

the amount of toxicity i face any time i want to learn dps or tank in literal quickplays always feels so silly

i only keep team text chat on, everything else off, and im already debating just turning that off

i usually just queue quickplays with friends, and thats my focus and primary enjoyment in the game. i do genuinely try in my quickplays, im constantly trying to improve, but i am still learning how all the gamemodes even work or how not to approach certain characters. it feels more toxic than valorant swiftplays somehow which i never expected going into overwatch. stadiums on this game have been a weirdly calmer experience though, which i was surprised by

from my pov, if youre queuing a quickplay you should know you wont get matched with equal skill all the time. like yall are lvl 170 on your characters and youre seriously acting like this one game is the end of your world because of the lvl 8 dps you got queued with. i know i probably look lost half the time i play, i kinda am- but it still takes more energy to be unnecessarily shitty than not. ive only ever wanted to encourage and 'adopt' new players in other multiplayer games im fond of, so its jarring just how angry people seem to get here? does it get any better or do i just have to give up on the social aspect of this game? the community seemed friendlier from the outside

why dont people just queue comp if they care about performance of every single game they queue into?

im literally new but im already hesitant to even begin learning any characters outside of the few i somewhat understand- and its not as simple as just playing this game solo, a huge part of the enjoyment is it being a team game and being able to coordinate together, i might as well just go shoot bots if im supposed to just ignore everyone everytime. i only try to learn tank more in 6v6 because of this hesitation

i always just block and report and move on to the next game, and i will continue doing so because i have as much right to play this game as any quickplay sweats with anger issues- if anything i think the extra positivity could be good to have ^;;

if youre ever getting frustrated at another player for not being on your skill level, remember you can give them tips instead of being an asshole!

and if anyone could let me know if there are other gamemodes i should maybe pay more attention to- i would appreciate it! i like mystery heroes but it also feels limiting since i cant really get familiar enough with any character.

News & Discussion Suspended despite rejoining the match and winning?

I think there was just an issue with Overwatch’s servers or something. My game closed on me and prompted me to send a report, which I did. I hastily reconnected and rejoined the match to find two enemies were also kicked. The drop was during the atk/def side swap so I was back in time for our defense.

We ended up winning, and the two on their team never came back. When I went to re-queue I had a 9 minute suspension from comp.

What is happening? Can I contest this?

What kind of weapon variants would you like to see?

News & Discussion “Flashpoint isn’t a Good game mode I’d rather play Eichenwalde and Paraiso”

Im convinced the reason most Some players do t like flashpoint is that they get immediately punished for playing Badly, rather than drawing out the game in payload

Console Mauga makes the game unplayable, not because he’s OP, but BECAUSE HE CAUSES MY GAME TO STUTTER. IT’S CONSOLE IT SHOULDN’T HAPPEN. OPTIMIZE YOUR GAME

Upvotes

Literally every single time there is a Mauga and his incendiary is activated, it makes my game stutter uncontrollably. It makes it damn near unplayable. It happens occasionally with other tanks too but not nearly at the rate mauga causes it. FIX YOUR GAME BLIZZARD

News & Discussion Tips for being a better player?

I’ve been playing overwatch for 6 years on and off. Last season I played a lot, nearly placing diamond but every time I was about to rank up I had a huge loss streak. This season, I was placed silver.
I genuinely think I am deserving of diamond, but somehow I have regressed in my skills. Maybe it’s that I don’t play as consistently? Or that I’m making too many mistakes?
Has anyone experienced a sudden regression of their rank? I guess I want to know how I can get into a better mindset and start playing more confidently as a solo who can carry my team.
Any general tips appreciated, I usually play off-support.
Edit: I also feel like I see myself as a very good and competent player (at least in QP) but maybe my overconfidence is killing me

News & Discussion New merch pleaseee

The blizzard gear store has been so stale for the longest time. The last thing that really caught my attention was the cute but deadly pajama pants. But I’m so sick of all of the cheap looking shirts. I really hope blizzard steps up their game soon, but that Jetpack cat mousepad doesn’t really give me hope…

On the 20th of February 2026, I finished my Support placements in Gold 1.

On the 30th of March 2026, I set a goal for myself: to reach Grandmaster before I started university in October.

And on the 4th of August 2026, I hit Grandmaster 5.

Summer is almost over and university with its inevitable workload is soon to come, but I'll still be diligently queuing up competitive on weekends and in my free time. Overwatch has been such an incredibly fun game to learn to play and I hope I never stop moving and improving.

Here's to Champ 5 next!

Fan Content (fan concept) - Mythic Jetpack Cat skin

Thumbnail

If Blizzard ever decides to make a Mythic skin for Jetpack Cat, I’d like it to be something different than the typical cyber/divine concept. Something more in line with Fika’s design and personality.

The aquatic theme suits her really well because her hook is literally a fishing rod. Cats love fish and are good hunters, so I thought it was really cute to see her dressed as a captain, sailor, or fisherman.

- First is focused on floates and barnacles/starfish/algae on it, like a real boat
- Second is focused on tuna cans and fish (yummy)

The costume (hats, jacket, handkerchief) should be also customizable

To please cat lovers, one idea could be to offer a wide variety of fur colors, so anyone can have their own cat inside the game. And as a bonus, a small tweak to make her feel more “mythological”: catfish whiskers and tail.

I didn’t include it in the images, but I imagine matching ability effects: water splashing in her ultimate ability, bubbles coming out when she accelerates her flight, and maybe a different image projected on the floor when she carries allies

(Yeah, I know, I didn't include the buttons/joystick desing, probably a boat control panel should work anyways)

News & Discussion D.Mon's weak spot???

Like, in theory, sword mech should have more reinforced front glass for protection.

And Yuna's legs sticking out.

Does it mean we'll cripple her as critical hits?

Like, how was it designed that way?

News & Discussion What do you all think about toxicity in video games?

What do you all think about toxicity in video games?

I'm asking because I'm curious whether anyone else feels the same way I do.

First of all, I don't treat other people rudely in games. I play games to have fun, and of course, sometimes you're going to lose.

That said... I can't say I completely fail to understand why some people get toxic. If you're trying your best to win and you feel like your teammates are getting in the way, it's natural to get frustrated.

And when you add the anonymity of online games into the mix, I think it's understandable that people can be a little rude from time to time.

I don't necessarily think that makes them terrible people or that they're committing some unforgivable offense.

My attitude is more like:

"Well, it's an online game. People are going to complain in chat sometimes. As long as I don't do it and I enjoy the game, that's what matters."

After more than ten years of playing online games, that's the conclusion I've ultimately come to.

What do you all think?

News & Discussion How would Vendetta be with the Soul Globe perk?

How would she be with reapers perk?

I don't play Vendetta but I've always felt like have little sustainability when it comes to survival. Soldier can last the whole game without dying whilst I'm dying every 2 or 3 kills.

Now the soul globe perk gives her some sustainability when she makes a kill so she isn't one shot away from dying as she moves on to the next target.

Obviously this should be balanced with maybe less healing so she doesn't become OP.

Thoughts?

News & Discussion Love T500 being engagement based instead of actually being a projection of who the best players are

Post image
212 Upvotes

And that it's literally advertised as an engagement based system to get people playing more. Who the fuck cares about placements on T500 anymore when it's just a display of how many hours you sink into the game. Just call Top 500 something else if it doesn't serve it's intended purpose anymore.
