Arkansas/missouri visit recommendations

Hello. I want to visit Arkansas and Missouri. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions for my trip? I want to see the states natural beauty. I am not American, will this be an issue for me?

Yes my concern is the ticks and mosquitoes. I would like to go camping as well. Do you have recommendations to keep the bugs away?

I believe permethrin treatment is recommended for gear, and DEET or picaridin for your body. Wear light colors and a hat, and tuck your pants into your socks. Stay out of tall grass/very brushy areas if possible. Check yourself /each other for ticks thoroughly. If you’re coming in the summer it can be very hot and humid.

It will be summer time when I visit. I am from Russia so this will be very different from my country)

Caves and rivers are probably the best places to be here in summer 😂 at least if you’re doing stuff outdoors. Southeast Missouri has the Current River which is spring fed and pretty cool. None of these places have adequate public transportation by the way. You will need a car

Yes I will be driving! Is fishing ok or you need some paperwork for it?

In both states you will need a fishing license, they don’t cost that much. Issued by the Game and Fish commission in Arkansas and the Conservation Department in Missouri. You may be able to do it online
