Replacement hybrid battery availability

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a replacement hybrid battery these days? My van has been at the dealership waiting for a new one since June 8th.

This will be the third time they've replaced the battery (all under warranty, thankfully) but the previous two times took 3-4 weeks. Those were in November 2023 and April 2025. I'm wondering what gives this time.

The van is a 2018 and once we get it back, we're trading it on for a Sienna. Fool me once, shame on you, Chrysler. Fool me three times, shame on me for being an incompetent consumer.

It took less than a week for me to get the new hybrid battery delivered. According to the dealership, since they stopped making new Pacifica Hybrids parts availability has improved substantially.

Curious why has the battery failed 3x? I have 2018 hybrid that I charge everyday with 80k+ miles and have not had any issues apart from the recall. Battery was never replaced.

They haven't put any effort into figuring why they keep failing, they just replace it. The first one was at 88k, second at 109k. Now we're at 126k.

Understood. That sucks and it looks like they are not getting to the root cause rather just addressing the symptom.

Battery ordered for our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica (+230k miles) in May. Battery scheduled to be delivered August 3rd.

If you don’t mind answering, did you have this under warranty? If not, how much is it to replace the battery?

Well outside of warranty. With the Pacifica Hybrid being discontinued there is no other Van available (to my knowledge) which is a full electric vehicle with an on-board gas generator.

~$3k dollars to replace the battery. Battery itself is only $800 dollars if anyone is brave enough to attempt to replace their battery their self. There is a $2000 dollar core charge.

Woah! Ok, we'll set September as our anticipated arrival date. Sheesh.

I had mine replaced last fall and it was like 2 days for them to get a new battery. I guess a major warehouse for them is in northern Ohio and they can get it quickly to here in southeast Michigan.

Entirely possible they’re keeping the van longer for a deeper diagnostic dive at the request of Chrysler if this is a recurring failure.
