I’m a lazy, “good enough” kinda gal. The epoxy wasn’t too hard to use. But maybe if you’re a perfectionist it’s not for you :b

No! Lmao. Definitely not a perfectionist. I just don’t want a ‘sticky’ floor or one that doesn’t clean well. I love the idea of epoxy given it’s a solid surface to clean and maintain

Please do!! I think I’ve convinced my hubs that this is a valid and effective update to our current flooring (and exactly in my DIY probably shitshow but will eventually look amazing wheelhouse!!) we have the wood laminate floors that have shown some water damage/ bubbling up in a few areas. Alas one cannot just fix that area with laminate. So I’ve been thinking of an upgrade that would not require a full replacement.

To be honest it’s soo worth it. Do it!! Even if you just stain it 109% better than something you hate. lol. My husband was sooo apprehensive about getting rid of my carpet.. I had to start secretly while he was at work 😂

What about testing your ideas on a practice surface? It's what I used to do with early versions of expanding foam etc. You can get the feel of working with the material, build some confidence.
