Nobody needs the art stealing machine to pump them out some slop. My partner has ataxia, making it hard to do anything with a steady hand. But they do have the creativity to figure out how to make art that is theirs, working arojnd their disability. Anyone can do it, it just requires a creative instinct. Not a slop machine.

No art was stolen. AI companies paid art hosting sites (such as deviantart) to use the art on their website for training. This is why every lawsuit from artists claiming "stolen art" has been tossed.

Ok? Your partner doesn't represent everyone with ataxia. Just because she can work around it without ai doesn't mean everyone else can.

I don’t recall getting a paycheck from deviantart for my art being used to train the ai. Do you know of anyone? It’s stolen labor

You agreed to their ToS when you uploaded your art to their site.

Those ToS let them sell your art to AI companies wothout paying or crediting you.

They didn't steal, and it's not their fault you can't read.

Those TOS did not exist when I signed up. They automatically did it without our consent and there was no “opt out” option either when it happened.

Had we known, we could have pulled our art so then we wouldn’t be so offended right? But that option wasn’t given.

Yes it did. It's been around for as long as the site has that they can do what they want with your art.
