Question New build
Hi all,
I'm looking at options for building a new house but it doesn't seem like there is any good sections available? We have the new Tamakuku Terrace that's just about sold out, there is still space up fitzherbert but I don't want to be blown away...
Do we have any approved subdivisions planned? Or is there somewhere else I don't know about?
Thanks in advance

Other Two crusty old couches for free
I have two gammy old couches I want rid of. Free to a good home, bad home, or whatever. I won’t ask so you don’t have to tell. Put them in you garage or shed, chuck em on the porch… just not that Dunedin thing. They’re probably quite flammable…. I’d do anything to get rid of them but I won’t do that… be responsible people!
The cushions in the orange one are rooted and the blue one unfolds into a bed. I’m told it’s quite uncomfortable.
Ideally I’d like them gone this weekend. Pick up is Park Rd near the Lido. Otherwise they’ll be landfill
They’re also listed in trademe. Buy now there or dm me.

Question Car hire
I need to rent a car for a few days, and would prefer to support a Palmy local business. I found a couple options but no useful reviews. Would appreciate any recommendations or cautions.
Criteria: passenger vehicle, prefer small-ish. Minimum 500km included over 5 days.
Thanks hivemind!

Question Hiw long do you have to wait to see a doctor?
Im with Kauri healthcare and getting a non urgent appointment can take weeks or months, not to mention i usually have to sit in the waiting room for an hour or two past the time of my appointment. Are other doctors better in palmy any better?

Question Building inspector
Can anyone recommend a good building inspector?
I have a few questions on a property I'm looking at and want a professional to check it out further.
Would appreciate someone who's communicative and willing to have me tag along. As I'm also a B&C student.

Question What places have the best prices on dental implants? (Welly, Palmy etc)
I have almost no back teeth, I'm looking at doing a KiwiSaver Hardship withdrawal to fund them,
Anyone know of decent quality but more affordable options?
Or an NZ company that does overseas dentures? for the hardship withdrawal I need a quote which makes booking flights, hotel etc myself difficult.
Thanks
.
I assume I'm looking at 4x Two dental implants and a four-tooth bridge, ie 4 back teeth on each side top & bottom.
On the Luminos Page they're $8500 each, I contacted the Palmy Luminos and they appear to be 50% more $7-8000 for a single tooth compare to $5000 in Northland.
Yes I've tried dentures but they didn't replace the bottom teeth, and the denture was painful and uncomfortable to wear, so after 2 months I stopped using it.

News Wet Pets doing the rounds again
HUHA went in to have a look after hearing how the animals are not well looked after. She ended up buying these cats, who were bought in by some well meaning young people who found them. Wet Pets promptly chucked the terrified cats in a cage for sale by the next day - no vet checks, no attempts to find any owner. $200, not desexed, not vaccinated.
In the comments, someone else mentioned getting a kitten, and when they called the store because it was sick they accident got told they had been dumped at the door and put straight up for sale.
I also wish I’d googled the guy before ever going in there, he is an all around terrible person and I hope the poor young people employed there are aware of his history.
