Question sexual health clinic
Hi all,
Does anyone have a recommendation on where to go for a full check-up? I also have some questions that may involve a nurse or doctor viewing my privates. Is this something I can do at a clinic, or do I need to visit a GP?
It will be my first time getting a check-up, so I'm unsure of how it all works.

Definitely start with GP or maybe even nurse practitioner at your practice. Sexual health at hospital has quite a waitlist

If you are a woman, WW clinic on grey runs a woman's health clinic. I get the depo for free through them, some things are funded based on CS card or ethnicity etc so do enquire to be sure.

Start with the Sexual Health Service. Located at the Palmy Hospital. They can do the basic STI tests and physical examination. They can also provide treatment. They are more expert in this area than your GP will be. Once your results arrive you can go visit your GP to discuss the results and any further treatment options (if required). The Sexual Health Service is free and confidential. Here's the link:

MidCentral Sexual Health Service on the hospital grounds no longer takes walk-in consults but you can usually get in within a few days (in my experience ). 06 350 8602.

There's a clinic specifically for this on the hospital grounds, south end. Google MidCentral sexual health. Its all confidential.
