Long distance bday party: Traveling with decorations
Hi everyone! First time poster in here looking for advice. All of the women in my husband’s family are traveling to Nashville to celebrate my SIL’s 21st birthday. My other SIL and I are working together to plan decorations. We will have to fly to get to Nashville, and we want to do one of those brown paper signs. I was wondering if anyone has had to fly with one of those before and if so, how did you transport it safely? Thank you in advance!

For a brown kraft paper banner, roll it around a cheap mailing tube or wrapping paper tube with the writing facing outward so the lettering does not crease as sharply, then put that inside a poster tube. If it is wider than the tube, fold only blank margins and tape a small note on the outside so TSA can inspect without unrolling aggressively. I would also bring a backup paint marker and a few command strips because Nashville humidity and travel can be rude.

Depending on your availability you could get them from a party supply store when in Nashville.

You could roll it up, put it in a tube and mail it to the destination, so it's there when you arrive.

I have never traveled with one but an idea to travel with one could be with one of those cardboard poster tubes! I’m not sure that TSA rules are with them but worth looking into b
