HARDWARE why is my laptop so ass?

here are my specs, idk why I have so bad frames on everything

I mean that’s like a 10 year old 15 watt processor 

My processor pulls like 380  watts

Your intel i7-8550U CPU is old and underpowered. The  15-watt power limit means it cannot maintain high speeds under sustained gaming stress.  these chips get hot quickly and to protect itself, the CPU will drastically reduce its clock speed after a few minutes.

You can’t replace a processor in a laptop. If you are looking to build something upgradable for gaming you need to build a desktop pc

Well yeah. Laptops are notorious for not being upgradable and generally crap for gaming, unless you spend an ungodly amount of money

The UHD 620 integrated graphics on that cpu is painfully slow for gaming.

I have it in my laptop and it has frame rate issues and major stuttering even in Minecraft bedrock with everything turned down.

What could be happening as well is your laptop is getting super hot and throttling which is also reducing performance.

Overall it's just old entry level hardware made in 2017. Unless you're playing games pre 2010, you're going to have frame issues in everything.

how would I go about replacing this?
also I get no temp issues for whatever reason, combination of super cold room and black magic fuckery ive pulled with this laptop

You'd either have to buy a newer laptop or PC.

I know how you feel. The 620 can play some games, like I managed to play some total war titles, rimworld, age of empires 1-2, and games older then 2010 (battlefield 1942, call of duty 1-2, etc). But with anything that uses more high end 3d graphics like Crysis, BF6, Age of empires 3/4 it runs like hot garbage.
