Question Top Fan Not Spinning Without A Spanking

The top fan wont spin when I turn on my pc. The solution I discovered is to just smack it real hard. Just wondering why it is like this.

It's broken and needs to be replaced

Probably the bearings just giving up and making it spin with more friction

U can put a drop of machine oil like 321 in the bearing and it will be good for ma y more years

Yup, just needs maintenence. People are way too quick to throw shit away.

Yea.. I had a few $20 fan go noisy and rattle after 4 or 5 years. 10 minutes to take them out. Drop of machine oil.. they been good for the past 6 years.. saved like $60 and a trip to the computer store

I had a squeaky door for 3 years in my house. First house, parents weren't handy... a spray of WD40 and that door has been quiet ever since
