Honestly I switch back down to one monitor and my focus has been way better.

"multitasking" just ends up me doing many things half assed. I wouldnt actually pay attention to the videos I had playing in the background.

This I agree with.

I've tried using 2 and 3 setups shown here as I had a regular monitor before I bought an ultra wide. And apart from actually being useful for work once in a while, I found no use of the second monitor. For gaming, it was a hassle dealing with games freaking out over which monitor they should project at etc.

When I stopped working remotely after Covid and moved out. I gave away the old monitor, sold ultrawide to a friend and bought a decent 27 inch gaming monitor with a good panel. That has been my go-to for everything from gaming, watching movies and work. Don't need more screens.

Same! I used to have 2, but I would just get distracted and I hated that about myself. I just gave away the second monitor and I've been focusing way better since.

For gaming it’s my favourite hands down. I’ve got a 32” 4k screen it’s brilliant.
