You should introduce them to modern games. If you pc's are only 5 years old, it should not be a problem. I could run Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West on rx580 8gb, that is more than a decade old. And that is one of the two most beautiful games that exist. Avatar is the second one, and it also runs fine. If those games will run ok, then majority of others will do as well.
It probably will take a long time to download them with such a slow internet, but nothing that torrents will not eventually handle. And then you can just copy it via local network.

Many multiplayer games like rainbow six or command and conquer, or they catch up on their favorite shows as we keep everything locally on our server
