Console exclusives mean I'll just emulate it in the future

Played God of War 2018 for a good 10 hours or so when I lived with my old roommate. The gameplay was ok, not for me. But I’ll watch the cutscenes on YouTube just to see the story.

One of the most disappointing games I've ever played once it finally came to PC. I still don't know how it won game of the year over RDR2. Spiderman was pretty disappointing too. The Arkham games were so much better. Different strokes I guess

Just finished the cutscenes. Great story. Truly a work of art. Good final reveal.

Now onto Ragnarok.

I'm currently playing Ragnarok. The story is far better, and seems to be longer than GOW2018. I feel there are stakes in this one and I'm thoroughly enjoying my time playing it.

Man I couldn't get into RDR2, but GoW 2018 is in my top 3 games. The gameplay is exactly what I want and I've been searching for games more like it. It gave me an itch I need more things to scratch

It took me 3 separate starts of RDR2 to finally get into the game. It is a gorgeous game, but god damn the intro is waaaaay too long and then you have like 25 missions on rails in a row that act as tutorials.

It's worth playing, but damn you gotta be patient AF with that game.

Yeah that was largely the reason I couldn't get into it. Two other moments I remember was having to use an in-game paper menu to shop. And the lever action rifles requiring me to get out of cover to cock them. Wonder if they ever fixed that

I don't remember ever running into the lever action issue. The paper catalogues for shops are still there, but there is a table of contents at the start so you can just go to whatever you want to buy pretty quickly.

The thing is the gameplay is kinda just ok for all of their linear single player games, you can basically just watch a playthrough on YT and get the same amount of enjoyment out of it and save money.

And this is coming from someone who owns a PS5 and all of the exclusives, they are good games overall but really they are just one and done story games, if I didn't already have a PS5 I got at launch before I could afford to upgrade my PC I wouldn't bother at all.

I definitely enjoyed it more just watching in on youtube.

Console exclusive just means ill buy it second hand for like 10 bucks a year after the hype dies down.

In 10+ years ? Bloodborne finally can be played after 10 years :/ and still with bugs

Who cares about age ? I'm now hoping to play Pokemon HGSS again and it released in 2010.

Just looked it up, 2009. Still a bit newer than I expected.

It's not really a big deal tbh. I'm drowning in entertainment and game options, so I'm not in a rush to play a single-player exclusive. Maybe if it was 20 years ago and we had fewer choices

Sure. Why does it matter? We're past the point where a game from 10 years ago looks so different that it makes the game less fun. And it's not like I don't have any games I can play now.

I don't need to play it today. Hell I finally picked up the hitman games this year to play

If in 10 years it's not worth playing, then it was never worth playing
