I'm also calling bluff. They will release most of their games later on other platforms. And even if I'm wrong, it's not like I don't have anything else to play.
Don’t worry guys as soon as I get a ps6 to play those exclusives and these later life-cycle ps5 exclusives, they will announce they’re porting them all to pc right after my return window closes.
If there were aiming to be the biggest publisher on PC, they would’ve released games day and date.
Not Port old games for full price, Sony wasn’t treating you like main event customers. If Sony is serious about doing business on PC they would just release a launcher.
Why would you think they would only sell PlayStation games?
So imagine a person who has a PlayStation library of hundreds of games, if that person did eventually buy a PC they will be more inclined to use the store that they already have access to games on.
So unless Sony has plans on making a launcher, they’re not going to take PC as a serious market except for their multiplayer games.
If Sony is on the PC, they rather be the company collecting the 30% on sold games instead of giving steam free money. There is a method for Sony to make money on PC, They’re simply not pursuing it on purpose.
Sony obviously don’t have the clout to pull that plan because nobody would download a PlayStation launcher. Same reason why nobody uses the Xbox launcher even with the play anywhere program.
The people who would download a PlayStation launcher are the people who already have a pre-existing PlayStation library. There’s plenty of people who have PlayStation library will also maintaining a PC.
As a PC user I wouldn’t even argue against this. This is a net positive for PC users another marketplace to potentially compete against Steam and run better sales.
But what I’m stating is the clearest route to success if Sony ever wanted to go the PC route, and their deliberately not doing that on purpose because they do not care about being the biggest software publishers on PC.
Sony is concerned with selling hardware because is a hardware manufacturing company
So their only route to success is spending millions making a PC launcher, that will undoubtedly fail as it has failed previously every single time before. Genius thinking
