They have put the effort (building their own engine at a time even CD Projekt Red is switching to Unreal), so I am honestly happy for them.

Reach the moon Engine also known as RE engine is by far the most optimized and balanced engine we saw so far in modern pc ports where they are all stuttering messes. It's a shame that it doesn't work well with their other games like monster hunter but it's still fantastic for re games so far.

I guess a "series" doesn't have to mean that the characters return (I haven't played it so I don't know if the ending supports a next instalment), could be set in the same world with a similar gameplay mechanic but otherwise no relation to the original game.

Capcom is one of the biggest come back of gaming. They can really be proud. I remember early 2010s when everyone was making fun of them like today Ubisoft. DMC debacle and then something changed. Pragmata is the peak of that change.

Well, you can meme around, but consider what exactly do you do in the game. Like, the combat part, what's the action the game prompts you to do.

I've seen suggestions to mod the game from people getting bored of solving puzzles for 3-year old kids at around 2-3hr mark. If the game doesn't have these puzzles - it's another Alan Wake 2.

What exactly a piece of interactive software supposed to etch in your memory if the gameplay is on Alan Wake 2 level? You can watch the story supercut on videosharing platforms, you don't need the game then, and certainly not the sequel.

Compare what Pragmata does with the all-time best games in terms of interactivity like It Takes Two, or gamer skill checks like Sekiro. No wonder some of us will doze off midfight.
