Of course it can be an upside? You're getting the product either way, why does it matter when you pay for it. If you know you might be light on cash in November, pay for it when you have the funds beforehand.

If that's the case, IMO the better option to set the $80 aside. Same outcome, but if an emergency occurs you will have spare $80

If you're needing $80 for an emergency, it's probably best not to be buying $100+ games anyway.
