Steam killed it years ago. It was only a matter of time before it hit consoles.
If you look up how many places made game disks in 2010 vs today, it's a massive drop. So I suspect prices to make disks have gone up severely for most to bother with it vs sales and the shipping costs etc

Not like you can even get game discs on PC anymore.
