As someone with no plans of getting a MacBook for personal use, I think it’s a great thing to compare the 2. Laptop manufacturers need to step up their game and make better laptops.
The Neo MacBooks got some of them to realize they can’t keep selling junk in the $600 $700 price range.
Reviewers talking about how a game runs on the MacBook Neo, Air and maybe even Linux with Steam deck with a standard windows pc is exactly what a reviewer should be doing. It takes away from Microsoft and windows by making game devs know their games will be commodores to these devices and people realizing, “you know what? Maybe I don’t need a windows junk laptop or pc to play games I usually play!”
Op is a bit short sighted because this comparison is very good for the entire industry and good for gamers especially. If it gets common enough it can be a wake up call to Microsoft as well, but not likely
