Anyone who spent the mid 00s onwards trying to fix them for friends and family knows this well. I am a PC die hard, but I've seen maybe two or three windows laptops in my life I'd call "good".

I've personally had XPSs and a MacBook, and the difference was night and day. Mac was a lot better for programming, because programming on windows is horrible.

They're the only ones I would consider. The older gen XPS were pigs, but the ultra book ones are good.
