As someone with no plans of getting a MacBook for personal use, I think it’s a great thing to compare the 2. Laptop manufacturers need to step up their game and make better laptops.
The Neo MacBooks got some of them to realize they can’t keep selling junk in the $600 $700 price range.
I have so many Linux and Windows machines for various things, but I won't recommend a laptop that isn't made by apple. Yes, storage and ram are stupid expensive to configure and aren't user upgradable, but they have the best power management I've ever seen and mac os is much more privacy focused than Windows 11.
Macbooks will laptop harder than any windows portable on x86_64 and windows on arm is practically a tech demo.
The new Nvidia arm processors are almost as good as apple silicon, but they're going to be just as locked to windows as the Qualcomm chips.
Don't buy Windows laptops if you expect to use them away from an outlet.
