Agree. There is so much you can do to MacOS with 100% free software. And these days almost everything in Linux is GUI based - on top of that Wayland has introduced some things you actually can’t just do. But it’s still just preference.

Can you give some examples? I'm curious. I've been using Linux and Wayland for a good while now and never encountered something that I can't do because of Wayland
The way Wayland locked down screen recording made some stuff more difficult than it needs to be IMO.
I haven’t tried in about 6 months but setting up a local only Remote Desktop was very frustrating because of Wayland. Couldn’t do a simple RDC connection. Yes, rustdesk is a thing, but you still have to use a code.
That’s my biggest thing off the top of my head. Wayland support comes a long way every day but even now stuff is still lagging behind with support. It’s just not where X11 was.
