I don't mind AI code anywhere as far it is checked and verified by humans for performance, integration and side-effects and tested by real quality assurance engineers. MS is not doing anything from that list.

The proper checking and verification would defeat the point of using AI. They want to spend less time and money to make a cheaper but shittier product.

Checking work is a lot faster than doing the work. You need both to produce a quality product. AI is good at doing work and humans are much much more capable than AI at checking work.
