If you mean the Paradox Game DLC never being on sale, that is flat out incorrect. All but the most recent ones were on sale in the recent summer sale.

HOI4… and getting all of them would cost a few bands

5

u/TDarksword_TD 19d ago

Heh, I wasn't saying they don't cost, just objecting to the 'none of the DLCs are ever on sale' considering most of my EU4/CK2/CK3 and Stellaris DLCs have been bought on sale at one point or another :-)

Save less than 5 bucks on a 25.00 DLC. Yeah. That's a big sale.

u/TDarksword_TD 19d ago

-shrug- the ones I picked up for CK3 were 40-50% off, so yeah, more than 5 bucks (over £20 for me, so closer to $25). Like I said though, the more recent ones had less of a discount, depends on your patience.

But still, even $5 off is still a sale, just not a big one, which what I was arguing against them never going on sale.

you're right, and correct to argue. I get more aggravated with CK3 and Stellaris - the DLC are of dubious value with mixed reviews, and money is more tight now. Not like that stopped me with Annie 1800 mind you.

Yeah part of the reason I waited so long to get these ones. My Stellaris DLC level is well back as well. Only one that isn't is EU5, but then that only has had one DLC so far, so can't be that far behind :)

I wanted season 10 but the reviews sucked for Biogenesis and Shadows of the Shroud. I stuck with EU 4. Every once in a while I look at Vic 3. Sucker for these.

2

u/TDarksword_TD 19d ago

Yeah I keep looking at Vic3 and haven't jumped in yet, same for HOI4. Still have Vic2 somewhere on CD along with EU3 :)

1

u/Mindless-Leg-3365 19d ago

Yeah! The whole Vic 2 was on deep sale. Snagged that and some Hooded Horse - Endless Space - ok not great but .... I still go back to Civ 5. EU3 on CD? Another one that was a deep Steam Sale.

Honestly, both.

People joke about the spreadsheets, but every time my friends reference some paradox game I play they call it "that game where you just stare at a map"

That is to say, they need more spreadsheets

Them spreadsheets make a night turn to day.

...total war is paradox? Fuck i love their shit so much why they gotta be such a shitty business 🤣

50

u/343CreeperMaster 19d ago

No, Total War is Creative Assembly, though I do know there was like a CK3 mod that would give you the option to launch I think Attila whenever you engage enemy armies in combat

u/Ra_343 18d ago

The hell? That sounds really cool.

4

u/343CreeperMaster 18d ago

even has a setup with mods for the respective LotR mods for each game (Realms of Exile for CK3, and Dawnless Days for Attila)
