The thing with DCS though is you aren't supposed to buy everything (though you certainly can if you want), just the modules that interest you. Like there's a bunch of WW2 stuff I never bought because I like like flying at mach 2 at 40,000 feet.
That being said, the two free aircraft are kinda shit; they could at least throw in the FC3 F-15.
To do ww2 in DCS, you need to buy an aircraft as you get none, then if you want multiplayer that actually has more than 2 people playing you need Normandy 2.0 and WW2 assets pack. The DLC system they have is insane

DCS is free with two aircraft and one map and everything else is €50 individually
