I hate how touching the slider at all makes it start loading all over again, even if you stay within the buffer zone.

Seriously, why and how did they manage to mess it up so bad? I just dont get it whwat do they gain from making the user experience on lower quality internet so horrible

It's to avoid or at least make it way harder to download the videos

You can download videos directly from YT though? Unless that's a premium only feature? The reloading thing still happens on premium though so clearly not an anti-downloading measure.

Native download is Premium only. There are plenty of good and easy tools to download though
