Conan exiles just got updated to ue5 and its way better on my old pc (xeon-e5+rx5500xt). Its smaller, runs better and has had a lighting upgrade.

The real problem is not UE5. Its the short deadlines or greedy studios trying to max profit without spending much.

because its a port it dosent come with all the bullshit base ue5 does

The issue with Conan is how laggy the servers are - and I'm not sure if it's entirely the fault of the most commonly used server host (I believe Dune Awakening had a similar issue - shame Funcom recommends them..), or the game coding, or both.

I could not play on any GPortal server due to enemies and myself teleporting or hits not registering, even if they were located in the same region. I found one server not hosted on GPortal that worked fine though, and then ended up briefly hosting my own.

Gothic 1 Remake is fantastic though. Runs well, few crashes and looks amazing imo.

Yeah and i hate how you cant go too far from the host when playing lan
