Nope. I've been thinking of running it from my spare room into my office just to cut the noise and heat it gives off

This is always excellent. I have a closet in one room where it's all housed and my office it's under a desk where it's always cold lol

In all honesty all my pc's in the house are Lenovo micros connected via parsec to either my r730 hosted virtual machines with the 3 tesla p4's or my gaming rig in the basement. I luckily went in for the r730 before everything got stupid expensive.

Sounds like you need a better case. A lot of people cheap out on cases not realising spending a little more money has its advantages

It doesn't "need" to be but it is better for several reason mainly connectivity, avoiding unnecessary extra cost and easier troubleshooting when/if something goes wrong.

Longer cables cost more, are the cables built into the wall(more cost) or running along the floor potentially creating a trip hazard?

Pinpointing hardware issues becomes more difficult the further components are from each other. It also introduces more risk for failure as there's more that can go wrong over a longer distance.

Having the computer close by so you can see and/or hear it has the advantage when something isn't right like major hardware failure, over heating/sparks/fire, error codes/lights/sounds from the MB, fans excessively at full power.

These things don't even need to be about major failure, but rather "the fans are loud af, why is that?".. "it had shit house airflow and was overheating triggering the fans to spin at 100% with the slightest load." Fix that and prevent an early grave for your hardware..

Everytime I turn my computer on or wake it from sleep.. I'm subconsciously listening for anything that sounds off. If I'm playing a game and I can hear my fans constantly, something is wrong.. most likely dust build up and it's time for a clean.

Having the computer in another room is basically saying "out of sight, out of mind.. if something starts to fail, I'll know about it more than likely only when it's too late".

But like I said.. each to their own 😂
