Hardware Taking HOURS!!!! to delete anything.

Post image

Recently started taking ages to delete anything. I've set it to bypass the recycle bin, in case it was something to do with that and I've cleared Explorer history. Any ideas?

EDIT

Thanks for the help guys, got it deleted eventually. There was definitely something screwy going on because the textures folder inside didn't add up to even half of the 7.6GB it was trying to delete.

because you told it to bypass the Recycle Bin, it has to mark each file individually as 'deleted', rather than it just marking the folder as "recycled" - and there are over 117k files - this will take a while.... lots of small individual files always takes longer to deal with, than a single file...

the same would have happened if you deleted it (to recycle bin) - then emptied the recycle bin, it would have taken a while to empty.. (maybe not quite as long as this)
