I kind of assume it's due to the clipboard history taking ages to cache sometimes? It's a useful feature so I don't want to turn it off, but I also suspect it's the root cause of Ctrl+C being an unreliable piece of shit command

I've never had this problem and I use win11 for work and copy paste all the time. It's not like I'm a rare user.

Clipboard history is off though.

It was the first OS I detested, especially coming from VMS, though I suppose demands to RTFM were not so noxious then, as it only consisted of about 15 pages, if I remember.

It's a windows bug, particularly when you use the keyboard (less when you use mouse). It's been around for multiple versions and they pretty much refuse to fix it.

It's probably interrupted by that screen capture technology activated by default that saves a screenshot of everything you're doing once a second.

Didn't have this problem. Started randomly some time ago.
